How to make your kitchen gluten free part 3

The Pantry

We gathered all non-refrigerated foods and pantry items, read all ingredient labels, and made list as we done with the refrigerator.

Everything without gluten was relocated so that we could vacuum and wash with mild detergent all shelves and cabinets where shelf-stable food had been kept. I also washed all jars of gluten-free food. Gluten-free food packaged in boxes that could not be washed was transferred to new see-through plastic airtight stackable containers with lids and labeled.

Finally, we made a list of all the foods with gluten that needed to be replaced and shopped for gluten-free versions (examples: pretzels, flour, canned goods).
